Some features of Gig-o-matic aren't working

Some features of Gig-o-matic require Javascript to be enabled in your browser. See below for instructions on how to enable Javascript.
Gig-o-matic only guarantees support for all features when using Internet Explorer 6.0 and Firefox 1.5 or above.
Other browsers may or may not support all features.
Gig-o-matic recommends Mozilla Firefox. Download it here.

Registering

If you are having problems with your registration, here are a few pointers:

  • All the starred fields are required.
  • Your username uniquely identifies your Gig-o-matic account. There are no restrictions on the usable characters.
  • Your email address must also be unique in the system, since this address will be used by Gig-o-matic for future correspondence.
  • There are no restrictions on characters for your password. However it is recommended you choose a password that will be hard to guess, such as a memorable combination of characters that is not a real word.
  • If supplied, postcodes must conform to the UK Government standards.
If you are a UK resident, it is recommended that you supply a postcode, as it is used for some of the additional features of Gig-o-matic.
If you still have problems registering, please contact support.

I have forgotten my username/password

Click the 'Forgotten your username or password?' link on the front page and enter the email address you registered your account with. Your account details will then be sent to this to that address.

The system won't let me log in

There are several possible reasons for this:

  • You are not getting your username or password correct. Remember that both are case-sensitive.
  • You have not validated your email address. If you have not done this, please check your inbox for a validation email.
  • You have not been approved by your group leader(s). You will be notified by email when this happens.
  • You have been deleted by your group leader(s).
  • You do not have Javascript enabled in your browser. For instructions on how to enable Javascript, see below.
