General
- Registering a new group
-
If you are having problems registering a new group, here are a few pointers:
- To register a new group, visit www.gigomatic.co.uk/register.
- All the bold fields are required.
- The url identifier is the unique identifier for your group on Gig-o-Matic. Try to pick something that will be intuitive for you and your members.
-
If you are new to Gig-o-Matic, you will be able to create a member account (see "Registering as a member" below)
at the same time as registering your group.
If you have previously registered for a group on Gig-o-Matic - even if you have since left the group - then you should log in before registering a new group. This is to ensure that the new group is associated correctly with your account.
- Registering as a member
-
There are two ways to register as a new member with Gig-o-Matic:
Registering as a new member at the same time as registering your group: When registering a new group (see above), you can also create a new member account. This account will be a "leader" (see below) for the new group.
Registering as a new member with an existing group: To register as a new member with a specific group, visit www.gigomatic.co.uk/<group_url_identifier>/register, where <group_url_identifier> is the unique identifier for your group in Gig-o-Matic (see "Registering a new group" above). If you do not know what this is, consult your group leader.
Either way, the following advice applies:
- All the bold fields are required.
- Your email address is your unique identity on Gig-o-Matic. It is important that you keep this up to date as this address will be used by Gig-o-Matic for future correspondence.
- There are no restrictions on characters for your password. However it is recommended you choose a password that will be hard to guess, such as a memorable combination of characters that is not a real word.
- I have forgotten my password
- Click the 'I've forgotten my password' link on the login page and enter the email address you registered with. Your account details will then be sent to that address.
- I can't login/access my group
-
There are several possible reasons for this:
- You are not getting your email or password correct. Remember that both are case-sensitive.
- You have not been approved by your group leader(s). Consult your group leader to get approved.
- You have been deleted by your group leader(s) or resigned from the group.
